Germany happy despite semi-final Cup exit

Germany may have lost the second football World Cup semi-final 1-0 to Spain, but the team's manager has declared himself happy.

Despite now having to settle for Sunday's consolation third-fourth place playoff against Uruguay, the Germans' manager Thomas Bierhoff says they can't complain.

Spain showed why they're the European champions and perhaps the world's best team in Durban, Bierhoff rightfully noting the Spanish midfield's suffocating passing game was the difference.

And if Spain win Monday's final against the Netherlands, New Zealand will be the only unbeaten team at the World Cup.
