Football's governing body, FIFA, is considering changes to its refereeing system for the next World Cup.

The organisation's long resisted changes such as goal-line technology, but several bad decisions in this tournament have increased the pressure for reform.

Two extra assistants could be added to help the referee keep up with the faster pace of the modern game, according to FIFA's Secretary-General Jerome Valcke.
