The New Zealand women's hockey team has lost 3-1 to the Netherlands on the opening day of the Champions Trophy in Nottingham.
Clarissa Eshuis opened the scoring with the Black Sticks' first goal at the tournament since Honor Dillon scored in the fifth-sixth place play-off four years ago, but the Dutch struck back with three unanswered goals.
Hosts England also beat holders Argentina 2-1 and Germany beat China by the same score.
