The former All Black captain Tana Umaga will play his first match in New Zealand in almost three years after being named in the Counties Manukau lineup to play Auckland in an NPC pre-season match in Waitakere tonight.
Umaga, who has returned from a playing and coaching stint with French club Toulon, has been named at second five for the Steelers.
37-year-old Umaga has signed a 2-year-deal to be a player-coach for Counties Manukau.
Umaga will mark Ben Atiga in the Auckland side, who is returning to the game after 2 year absense.
Umaga played 74 tests for the All Blacks including 21 as captain.
