Spain's World Cup winning winger David Silva's completed his move to English Premier League football club Manchester City from Valencia.

The 24-year-old has passed a medical test.

The Abu Dhabi-owned club are reported to have paid $50 million for Silva on a four-year contract.

City finished fifth in the Premier League last season but will be expecting a top-four finish this season and the resulting place in the Champions League.

Silva is City's third signing during the off season, joining German international defender Jerome Boateng from Hamburg and Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Toure from Barcelona.
