A knee injury has forced the Canterbury utility back Amiria Rule out of the Black Ferns squad heading to the Women's Rugby World Cup this month.

Rule will be replaced by Auckland first five-eighth Anna Richards, the most capped New Zealand women's rugby player with 44 caps.

The Black Ferns leave England for the IRB Women's World Cup on Friday week and start the tournament against South Africa on August the 20th.
