The All Black lock Brad Thorn says he wishes he had more time to give to Sonny Bill Williams, who like him has made the transition from league to union.
Thorn is preparing for Saturday night's Tri Nations and Bledisloe Cup Test against Australia in Christchurch, while Williams will play club rugby, also in Christchurch this weekend, as another step towards playing for Canterbury in the NPC.
Thorn has had two stints in Union, playing for the Brisbane Broncos in the NRL the rest of the time.
He says he's met Williams, but would have liked to have had some more time with him with Canterbury as one of the old guys who's been there before.
