New Zealand's double Beijing medallist Hayden Roulston has shown signs of his potent form, winning the final stage of the Tour of Denmark this morning.

Roulston cleared out with 800 metres to go in the final break on the uphill finishing straight in Copenhagen, on part of the course to be used for next year's world championship.

The 29-year-old, named in the team for October's Commonwealth Games, powered clear to win for his HTC Columbia team.

It capped a strong effort from Roulston's team who gained three stage wins in the Tour of Denmark.
