The Beijing Olympian Andrew Murdoch leads the Laser class after winning the opening race and finishing second in race two.

Peter Burling and Blair Tuke sit fourth in the 49er class, while Dan Slater is eighth in the Finn class.

There are also two New Zealand men in the top 20 in the boardsailing.
