The injury situation for the Springbok utility back Francois Steyn should be known tonight, with the Springbok medical staff due to receive a medical report from Steyn's French club Racing Metro.
Steyn, who was included in the Springbok training group of 29 announced last weekend, underwent a scan in Paris yesterday after picking up an injury in a pre-season match last week.
The Springbok training squad assembled in Johannesburg yesterday to begin preparations for the home leg of the Tri-Nations. A final squad of 24 is expected to be confirmed at the conclusion of the camp on Saturday.
The Springboks play the All Blacks at Soccer City near Johannesburg next week.
