Two players are leaving the English Premier League football club Chelsea.
Veteran holding midfielder Claude Makalele is off to Paris St Germain after five years with the London side while the
Netherlands defender Khalid Boulahrouz is leaving for the German club Stuttgart.
The 26-year-old Dutchman suffered a personal tragedy during Euro 2008 last month when his wife gave birth prematurely to a daughter who later died.
He previously played in the Bundesliga for Hamburg SV between 2004 and 2006 and made only 13 appearances for Chelsea before a spell on loan at Sevilla last season.
Chelsea have re-signed their goalkeeper Petr Cech on a new five-year contract however and see many more years' service likely from the Czech international, who is one of the world's most consistent custodians.
And while there's no confirmation that Kaka will be joining him at Stamford Bridge - despite reports in the Italian media linking the world player of the year with Roman Abramovich's club in a record 150-million euro transfer - Cech says he's happy he'll be at Chelsea til 2013.
