Murray struggles into third round at US Open

Briton's Andy Murray has struggled through to the third round of the US Tennis Open in New York, winning a fourth set tie breaker to beat France's Michael Lodra.

Murray, the sixth seed, won 6-4, 1-6, 7-5, 7-6.

Fourth seed David Ferrer of Spain also struggled to beat the unseeded German Andreas Beck.

Ferrer was taken to four sets, winning a tie breaker in the fourth set to win the match against te world 122nd ranked player.

Ninth seed James Blake of the United States is also through after his opponent Steve Darcis of Belgium retired injured after both players had won one set.
