There's been a major shock at the US Tennis Open in New York on Friday with women's number one Ana Ivanovic beaten in three sets by a qualifier ranked number 188 in the world.

French player Julie Coin has beaten Ivanovic 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 to inflict the earliest exit by a women's top seed at the US Open since the start of the professional tennis era in 1968.

Coin can't quite believe what she has done.

Elsewhere Venus and Serena Williams progressed to the next round as did men's top seed Rafael Nadal.
