Australia wrap up first cricket test against Black Caps

It's taken Australia less than an hour on day four to wrap up the first cricket test against New Zealand in Brisbane.

Resuming at 143 for six needing 327 to win, the Black Caps have been dismissed for 177, giving the hosts a 149 run.

Skipper Dan Vettori was dismissed for 10, Ross Taylor for 75, Ian O'Brien 3 and Chris Martin 1.

Tim Southee was left unbeaten on 12 after clubbing two sixes off Stuart Clark.

Left arm fast bowler Mitchell Johnson took five wickets and Clark four.

The second test starts in Adelaide on Friday.
