Run feat in domestic cricket

There's been a run feast in domestic cricekt with two double centuries and three other hundreds on day three of the rain-interupted round of State Championships matches.

The Central Districts opener Peter Ingram made a career-best 247 in Hamilton, where Northern Districts will start the last day on 83 in their second innings still 71 behind,

And the allrounder James Franklin, who's had a long break from international cricket with a knee injury, made 219 as Wellington reached 533 for five in Auckland, where the hosts will resume on 133 without loss.

Matthew Bell and Luke Woodcock also made centuies for Wellington.

And Neil Broom made an unbeaten 140 for Otago, who made 352 in Invercargill where Canterbury are 145 for five.
