The Breakers guard Kirk Penney says it'd be great if New Zealand's only current NBA basketballer Sean Marks could finish his career where it started, on Auckland's North Shore, but don't bet on it.

Penney has also played in the NBA and keeps in touch with Marks.

He says the former Tall Black is finding his new club, the New Orleans Hornets, is a good fit after moving from Phoenix and he's enjoying much more court time off the bench.

.

The 33-year-old also has an American wife and two sons in California and Penney says he wants to make the most of the time he has left in the NBA.

He says if the option for Marks in future is Europe or New Zealand he'd love to see him come home.

However he says the NBA and the Breakers is a different decision because the world's top competition pays so well and players have only so much time in the game.
