Ice cool Singh takes fourth win of the year

The ice-cool Vijay Singh has taken advantage of stumbling finishes by Jim Furyk and Anthony Kim to win the Chevron World Challenge by one shot at the Sherwood Country club in California.

Two strokes off the pace heading into the final round Singh the world number five, rolled in an eight-foot downhill putt to birdie the par-four 18th and clinch his fourth victory of the year.

He birdied four of the last eight holes on the way to a five-under-par 67 to fnish under eleven under for the tournamenthosted by Tiger Woods.

Steve Stricker finished second with third-round leader Anthony Kim setting for a share of third at seven under with fellow American Hunter Mahan.
