Chelsea captain could be out for months

Chelsea's captain John Terry fears he could miss several months of this season because of a long-term nerve injury in his leg.

The injury meant Terry missed Chelsea's shock 3-0 home loss to Sunderland at the weekend, and the central defender will miss England's friendly international tonight against France at Wembley.

29 year old Terry says he can no longer play through the pain of the injury, and a lengthy break from football might be the only cure.

The Premier League leaders have already been without Frank Lampard for much of the season, and he won't be back for another two weeks.
