A win and a tie in one day cricket

There's been a tie in the one day cricket championship match in Whangarei where Northern Districts needed 14 runs from the last over to beat Otago.

The home side finished on 274 for seven with Black Cap Kane Williamson 87 not out.

Otago made 274 for five, Neil Broom top-scoring with 123.

And Canterbury's beaten Wellington by 125 runs at the Basin Reserve.

Canterbury made 265 for six, Peter Fulton top-scoring with 93, then dismissed the home side for 140 in the 36th over.

Rain stopped the Auckland-Central Districts match in New Plymouth with the visitors 45 for one in the 10th over.
