Tigers tame Warriors

8:47 am on 20 March 2011

The New Zealand Warriors remain winless two rounds into the National Rugby League competition after conceding three tries in the final quarter as Wests Tigers won 20-12 in Sydney.

It was 6-6 at half-time and the Warriors took the lead for the first time nine minutes after the break following some freakish work from former Parramatta winger Krisnan Inu.

Inu managed to keep the ball in play as he was tiptoeing down the left touchline before catching the Tigers defence off guard and crashing over from dummy half a play later to make it 12-6.

But the Tigers got home with a try to to skipper Robbie Farrah and two from Chris Lawrence,

However the Warriors might be looking for a "please explain" from the NRL after appearing to score a fair try that wasn't referred to the video referee.

The Storm crushed Gold Coast 40-12 in Melbourne while Newcastle are also unbeaten after downing North Queensland 34-22 in Townsville.
