Saints have lost their perfect record in the National Basketball League, losing their first match of the season 99-93 to Nelson in Wellington.
The Giants made it six straight wins over Saints with Rod Grizzard scoring 22 and Darryl Dora and Phil Jones 19 each.
The Giants have lost four of their first six games this season, but continued their domination of Saints by frustrating them into 18 turnovers.
Saints winning streak ends at 10 and they now share the top of the standings with Hawke's Bay.
Nelson are up to sixth.
