Socceroos missing four stars for All Whites friendly

Australia will be missing four top players for the international football friendly against New Zealand in Adelaide.

Tim Cahill, David Carney, Harry Kewell and Mark Schwarzer are all absent with injuries from the 23-man squad named to play the All Whites in Adelaide on Sunday week then Serbia in Melbourne two days later.

Lucas Neill will captain a Socceroos squad, which includes 12 players from the squad used in the 2-1 win over Germany.

The All Whites have a five day training camp in Auckland and play Waitakere City tomorrow before heading to the United States for the friendly against Mexico in Denver on Thursday week.

They're also missing injured first-choice players, including skipper Ryan Nelsen, Rory Fallon, Leo Bertos and Jeremy Christie.
