The head of the Asian Football Confederation Mohamed bin Hammam is among four FIFA officials implicated in an ethics investigation concerning possible "bribery allegations", but he's denied any wrongdoing and expects to be able to stand against Sepp Blatter for the FIFA presidency next week.
The investigation relates to a meeting earlier this month between bin Hammam and Jack Warner, a FIFA vice president, and head of the CONCACAF Confederation.
The four officials have been summoned to appear before FIFA's ethics committee in Zurich at the end of this week, three days before the presidential election.
FIFA would not comment on the possibility of the election being postponed.
