The Warriors coach Ivan Cleary says giant winger Manu Vatuvei is nearing his best again after scoring a hat-trick in their 48-16 mauling of Souths yesterday.
Vautuvei has struggled since sustaining a knee injury during the opening round loss to Parramatta, scoring just 5 tries in 10 previous appearances.
Cleary says Vatuvei was in the best shape of his career going into the season and it's great to see him almost back at his best.
He says it takes a player of Vatuvei's physique a while to recover from injuries and while he's still a bit off his best he's doing his job and they love having him on the field again.
The sixth-placed Warriors play the Raiders, who are third from bottom, in Auckland on Sunday,
