The Chiefs first five Stephen Donald says a major reason for joining English rugby club Bath was to avoid playing in the shadow of fellow All Black Dan Carter.
Donald says he's been behind Carter for the past four years and it's really worn him down..
He says once he knew his chances were going to be limited, it aided his decision.
Donald says he's absolutely devastated not to be involved in the World Cup, but life goes on and it's good that he's got this deal with Bath.
Donald has a 3 year deal with Bath and will join them in November.
