Vatuvei not afraid of Manly bombs

Warriors winger Manu Vatuvei says he's not afraid of being targeted by Manly high kicking tactics in Sunday's National Rugby League grand final as he looks for a chance to make his mark on the biggest stage.

A day after Manly skipper Jamie Lyon said Sea Eagles halves Daly Cherry-Evans and Kieran Foran would have Vatuvei in their sights at ANZ Stadium in Sydney, the Kiwi international welcomed the challenge.

His reputation as a kick receiver is still blotted by a horror night against Parramatta four years ago - memories of which resurfaced during another below par effort against Brisbane in the opening week of the finals.

But Vatuvei is encouraging Manly to bring on the bombing raid and says he's looking forward to the challenge and will do his best to catch any ball that comes his way.
