World number one seeks unique double

Golf's world number one Luke Donald is aiming for a unique achievement over the next few weeks, winning the money lists on both sides of the Atlantic.

The Chicago-based Englishman just missed out on winning the FedEx Cup series and a $US10-million bonus last Monday, but his final hole birdie at the Tour Championship in Atlanta took him to the top of the PGA tour money list.

With four events to go on the US tour, Donald leads Webb Simpson by $US70,000, and he leads the European money list by $US1.5-million dollars from Rory McIlroy.

Donald heads a star-studded field at the Dunhill Links Championship which starts tonight at St Andrews, the home of golf in Scotland.
