The All Blacks coach Graham Henry says the team is more determined than ever to win the world cup after first five Dan Carter was ruled out of the rest of the tournament with a torn groin.
The 29-year-old suffered the injury during a kicking drill at yesterday's captain's run and has been replaced in the All Blacks squad by Manawatu's Aaron Cruden.
Henry says the men in black now have extra motivation to win back the William Webb Ellis trophy, but he concedes losing Carter is the worst possible world cup news.
