Phil Mickelson has dropped out of golf's world top 10 for the first time since 2004.

Mickelson is now 11th, and he's been replaced at number 10 by the rising US star Webb Simpson.

The player of the year, Englishman Luke Donald, stretched his lead as world number one with another victory yesterday in Florida which sealed the year's money titles for him on both the US and European tours.

Spain's former world No.2 Sergio Garcia jumped 18 places to 31st thanks to his 11-shot win in the Castello Masters in Spain.
