New Zealand Cricket has cancelled the Black Caps' first warm-up match in Australia later this month.
Rather than send players to Sydney to play a New South Wales side in a three-day fixture and get accustomed to Australian conditions, the Black Caps will instead play the second round of Plunket Shield matches.
New Zealand will now play only one warm-up match, against Australia A in Brisbane, before the first test at the Gabba starting on December 1st.
