AC Milan will hold talks with English premier league football club Manchester City later this week over the possible transfer of striker Carlos Tevez.

It's believed City will allow Tevez to join Milan on loan in January if the Italian club commits to a permanent deal in the off season.

Milan have previously had a bid of $40 million for the Argentine player rejected by the Premier League leaders.

Tevez has not played for City since September having fallen out with manager Roberto Mancini, who alleges Tevez refused to come off the reserves bench in their Champions League match at Bayern Munich.

An internal club investigation found Tevez guilty of breaching his contract and he was fined four weeks' wages which was later reduced to two.
