The Wellington Phoenix midfielder Nicky Ward will miss Friday night's A-League football match against the Newcastle Jets in Wellington with concussion.
Ward suffered the injury in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Melbourne Victory and is likley to be replaced by Brazilian winger Daniel who's had limited game time so far this season.
Striker Paul Ifill, who missed the Melbourne game, is again likely to be out having failed to recover from a groin injury.
A loss on Friday would see the Phoenix drop out of the top six, with Newcastle in seventh place.
