Argentina to host four nation rugby matches outside the capital

8:02 am on 30 December 2011

Argentina will host all three of their matches in their debut season in next year's four nation rugby championship outside the capital, Buenos Aires

The Argentine Rugby Union says the Pumas will host the All Blacks in La Plata on September 29 while they will play South Africa in Mendoza in August and Australia in Rosario in October.

The Union president, Luis Castillo, says taking the Pumas to play in the interior of the country will allow everyone to enjoy the national team.

When the new four-nation southern hemisphere championship was presented at a news conference in Buenos Aires a month ago, Sanzar, the body representing the other three nations, said it favoured playing at least two of the matches in Buenos Aires.
