Local tennis hope Samantha Stosur is refusing to panic as the pressure to deliver at the Australian Open next week intensifies.

Stosur was a dejected figure after her first-round demise at the Sydney International but the defiant US Open champion vowed to reprise her New York state of mind for the Melbourne Park major.

In her quest to break the 34-year local title drought at the 100th Australian Open, the 27-year-old says

if she can make it at the US Open, she can make it anywhere.

Stosur says going through all those experiences in New York and throughout the year and over the years that she has played tennis is the key to her handling it.
