New Zealand Open water swimmers beaten by Australians

Cara Baker of Auckland and Kane Radford of Rotorua have finished top New Zealanders at the 10-kilometre National Open Water Swim Championships in Taupo, keeping their Olympic dreams alive.

The pair finished second to Australians Melissa Gorman and Trent Grimsey respectively.

Baker and Radford along with third placed Charlotte Webby and Jonathan Pullon have qualified for June's final Olympic qualifier in Portugal, where a top 9 finish will qualify them for London.
