Black Sticks young midfield under pressure in Rosario

The New Zealand women's hockey coach Mark Hager is hoping his players have learned from their Four Nations whitewash in Argentina, a shakedown tournament for the elite Champions Trophy starting this weekend in Rosario.

The Black Sticks lost four straight matches - to Argentina, South Korea, and Great Britain in the round robin, and then again to Argentina in extra time in the bronze medal playoff which coach Hager ticked as a step up, against the world's second ranked side.

He'll be focussing on his young midfielders to be more confident coming out of defence against Argentina in their Champions Trophy opener on Sunday.
