Centuries to Clarke and Ponting help Australia dominate

Centuries to captain Michael Clarke and former skipper Ricky Ponting have helped Australia dominate the opening day of the fourth and final cricket test against India in Adelaide.

After being 31 for two at one stage, the home side has turned things around to be 273 for three with Ponting and Clarke enjoying an unbroken 187 run fourth wicket partnership.

Ponting's scored his 41st test century and is on 115 while Clarke is unbeaten on 100.

Australia leads the series three nil.
