All Whites newcomer Dan Keat says he's confident he's ready for the demands of international football.

Keat, a midfielder, is the only new cap in the 18 strong squad for a friendly against Jamaica in Auckland later this month.

Coach Ricki Herbert has left out World Cup squad members Rory Fallon, Andy Boyens, Jeremy Christie, Aaron Clapham and David Mulligan as he wants to cast his eye over some of the newer players like Keat ahead of the side's World Cup qualifying campaign later this year.

Keat's about to go into his second season with Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy, which includes the likes of David Beckham. He's still trying to become a first team regular.

The All Whites will again be led by new Tottenham signing Ryan Nelsen.
