The pre-season injury woes continue for the New Zealand Warriors with brothers Sam and Steve Rapira both set to miss the start of the 2012 NRL rugby league competition.
Frontrower Sam left the field with a shoulder injury in the 22-14 trial win over South Sydney in Coffs Harbour Saturday night, while his younger brother and prop Steve was forced off with an ankle complaint.
Both brothers will be out of action for up to six weeks. They join Queensland prop Jacob Lillyman and enforcer Micheal Luck on the sidelines for the start of the season.
The Warriors won both their trial games against the Gold Coast Titans and the Rabbitohs and meet Queensland Cup side Sunshine Coast at Toll Stadium in Whangarei next Saturday.
