The world champion rower Mahe Drysdale, who's been named in the New Zealand squad to contest the London Olympics, says the disappointment of Beijing has taught him not to take anything for granted.
39 athletes have been named in eleven pre-qualified boats, New Zealand's largest ever rowing squad to head to an Olympics.
In 2008 Drysdale was struck down with an infection in the week before his Olympic final but sheer grit and determination saw him take the bronze medal.
The three-time men's pair world champions Hamish Bond and Eric Murray are also confirmed, as are two-time world champions in the women's pairs Juliette Haigh and Rebecca Scown.
