New care providers found for mental health patients

Replacement health service providers have been found to take over the work done by a Maori organisation at the top of the South Island.

Te Rapuora o te Waiharakeke Trust is shutting down at the end of the year because it has run out of money.

Nelson Marlborough District Health Board has selected several providers to develop and deliver kaupapa Maori mental health services and other care.

The DHB says the work will be switched to the new organisations before the Christmas break.
