Treaty settlement bill readings in Parliament on Thursday

Three Treaty settlement bills will be put before MPs on Thursday for individual readings when Parliament sits under extended hours.

Te Tau Ihu Claims Settlement Bill, which represents a collective of iwi from the top of the South Island, will receive its first reading,

The third reading will take place of two other settlement bills. They are the Northland Ngati Whatua o Kaipara Claims Settlement Bill and the Waitaha Bill, which covers tribal land in Western Bay of Plenty.

The readings will take place from 9am until 1pm on Thursday.
