UN tukutuku show in Bay of Plenty

7:09 pm on 26 June 2013

A set of tukutuku - or traditional Maori panels - are being shown off in the Bay of Plenty - before they head to the United Nations in New York.

They will be on display in Rotoiti near Rotorua this Saturday - when weavers who made the panels will gather to share their work with family and others involved in the project.

Next year the panels will be sent to the United States to feature on the New Zealand wall in the newly refurbished United Nations' General Assembly building.
