Kingi Biddle a world champion public speaker

Te Arawa descendant and renowned funnyman Kingi Biddle is a world champion of public speaking.

At the international toastmaster competition at the weekend in Cincinnati, in the United States, the title of 2013 world champion was secured by Presiyan Vasilev of Chicago, followed by Kingi Biddle in second place.

Mr Biddle was selected to represent Aotearoa after winning New Zealand's International Prepared Speech award in June.

It's the second year in a row he's won the New Zealand title.

Mr Biddle is familiar as a Maori broadcaster, in both iwi radio and Maori Television.

He's also a member of Rotorua District Council's Te Arawa Standing Committee.
