Members of the Auckland Maori Advisory Statutory Board for the next three years have been announced.
They include nine mana whenua representatives, or people who have tribal ties to Auckland. Also on the board are two mataawaka officials - or members who live in the city but don't have tribal ties there.
The mana whenua members include current chair David Taipari, as well as Glenn Wilcox, Kris MacDonald and Precious Clark. The mataawaka representatives are John Tamihere and Tony Kake.
Their term begins on 1 November, with the nine mana whenua board members to appoint a new chair from within the group.
