Another Maori group calls for Trust head to go

Pressure is growing on the head of the Crown Forestry Rental Trust to quit.

A Maori claimant in Whangarei says Angela Foulkes should go, after a judge decided she was wrong to ask a member of the Trust to step aside over an alleged conflict of interest.

But on Thursday Sir Eddie Durie was given the all clear, following an accusation that his wife - solicitor Donna Hall - was representing groups seeking funding from the Crown Forestry Rental Trust.

Whatitiri Maori Reserve Trust of Poroti Springs in Whangarei says Angela Foulkes should resign, because she's spent hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to get Sir Eddie removed from the Ngapuhi claim.

The Chair of Whatitiri, Taipari Munro, says some claimants of Ngapuhi have been prevented from getting help to prepare and present for their hearings.

Angela Foulkes says she has no intention of resigning.
