7:38 pm on 8 November 2013

The chairperson of Te Whanau o Waipareira is planning to meet with its chief executive, John Tamihere, over a controversial interview about Auckland's teenage sex ring.

John Tamihere and Willie Jackson from RadioLive interviewed a young woman earlier this week in regards to story on teenage boys boasting online about having sex with drunk, underage girls.

The hosts have come under fire for the interview, after asking the caller how free and easy young people are these days.

Te Whanau o Waipareira Trust provides support services to young people.

The organisation's chairperson, Josie Smith, says she has not yet spoken to Mr Tamihere about the interview. She hopes to do that this weekend.
