Ngati Whatua Orakei in Tamaki Makaurau has had a bumper year for visitors.
Ten thousand manuhiri were welcomed on to the sub-tribe's marae over the year. As well, the hapu has hosted 400 hui, which it describes as huge.
Among the visitors to the Auckland marae were 160 dignitaries from countries including Hungary, Jordan, Cuba and Samoa.
