The Green Party is planning to add the Public Works Act to its Treaty of Waitangi policy for this year's general election.
It calls the legislation an instrument of destruction.
Treaty spokesperson Catherine Delahunty, says the Act is used consistently against Maori.
She says both the Maori Land Court and the Public Works Act are complex matters, but they're also issues which she says her party needs to reflect in a way that honours the Treaty of Waitangi.
