Ngati Manu descendant, Kelvin Davis, has been sworn in again as a member of parliament on Tuesday.

He replaces Shane Jones, who resigned last week.

Mr Davis stood in the 2011 Te Tai Tokerau electorate, but the seat was won by Mana Party leader, Hone Harawira.

Kelvin Davis also lost his seat with Labour that year because his spot on the list was too low.

Mr Davis aims to contest the Taitokerau electorate on behalf of Labour again, and said the newly forged Internet Mana Party was likely to confuse voters in the rohe.
